It was very cold again in the night, but the sun was already shining from the bright blue sky at 7:00 am. But it hardly brings warmth. Once again it was time to pack. I really hope we don't exceed the 2 x 30 kg luggage, there always seems to be something added! Fill up water and gas in the motorhome, empty the wastewater tanks, check all compartments and drawers (and there are a lot of them) to make sure everything is packed. We still have about 100 km to go until we reach the suburbs of Melbourne where we have to return our camper. Goodbye to driving on the left. Before that, refill the tank, otherwise they will charge double for a liter of diesel upon return. Return process is quick, taxi arrives promptly and in 30 minutes we are at the hotel. Unfortunately, we can't check in yet, so we set off and take a look around. Melbourne is the second largest city in Australia, has a large number of Italians, Chinese, Vietnamese and Maltese, therefore it has an international flair. (In total there are said to be 140 nations). Had a good soup at the Chinese restaurant. Yay, we have a room on the 7th floor. But unfortunately all the buildings around us are at least 3 times as high, so we can see - NOTHING. Dark room even during the day, we need light. That's why we also don't see that it starts to rain heavily when we want to go out in the afternoon and we return again. The weather in Australia is very changeable and changes very quickly, you can hardly rely on the weather forecasts. Unfortunately, it keeps raining today and we are also in the middle of rush hour, including public transport. There is a "Free Tram Zone" in the entire city center and it is packed from 4:00 pm, everyone has a wet umbrella, and there is a terrible crowd everywhere, getting on and off. When the carriage is full, the next one comes soon, there is no schedule. We make it to the Doglands at the harbor. Rain, rain, rain again and there is also thunderstorm. For a short moment there is a beautiful sunset, then it's raining again. We find a good Indian restaurant to eat and warm up, then in the darkness - everything looks different - we return to a 4 million city, without a schedule and with transfers ... we have arrived back at the hotel.
