After 103 days in Lao, we can write our own 'lonely planet' about this awesome country. nearly every 200 km and so every day the landscape changes and you feel like in a complete different world. from the high plateau near pakse where the locals grow coffee and tobacco, the mystic and not yet discovered caves arround Kong Lor and to the 4000 islands on the Mekkong. In the small villages of a few areas in the south of Lao the people never saw a Farlang (the Lao word for foreigner) before. So we felt a few times like an alien. but when you stay a while in one place the people came closer and invited us to see how they live and of course to drink lao lao. kind of a whiskey made of rice. So all in all we are really thankfull for this experience and now we are looking forward to explore the other countries in south east asia.
