Stopover in Singapore

Ipapashiwe: 28.04.2019

The first beautiful days of my trip have already passed and I have already experienced a lot since my departure on Monday. In summary, it went something like this: Flight to Singapore from Zurich, two nights and two days of stay, continue traveling to Perth.
But of course, I experienced, saw, and tried a lot during this time. There is not much to say about the flights, the colorful uniforms of the flight attendants are really beautiful, and the A380 aircraft is impressive and smooth in the air.
Singapore, on the other hand, left some hot impressions on me, of course because of the weather, but also because of the huge buildings with incredibly imaginative constructions. In Singapore, unusually for me in the evening, I felt really unsporty. When I had to watch out for countless joggers in the middle of the city, so as not to be overrun, I had to smile a bit... because how many of you have ever seen dozens of joggers in a big city? If I'm honest, I have never seen a Chinese person jogging before I was in Singapore.
Maybe it's wrong to call them Chinese, the correct term is Singaporean. But I can tell you without a doubt, there are many people like them in this city, whom we would simply, but mistakenly, call Chinese in Switzerland. Nevertheless, they have similarities in terms of behavior patterns: they love taking photos and videos. Sometimes I feel like they see the really beautiful things on the screen of their smartphones first before they eventually notice that the real beauty is behind it, and in 3D.
Aside from the fact that the city is unfortunately very inconvenient for pedestrians and the air conditioning sometimes blows more strongly onto the sidewalk than a gust of autumn wind would do with us, there were also a few more natural things.
In the Gardens by the Bay, I happened to come across a hummingbird fluttering among the flowers, and at Singapore River, I was able to watch a sea eagle fishing its lunch straight out of the water. In summary, these were two eventful, active, and unforgettable days in a tropical, plant-rich metropolis.
