Today we had to say 'unfortunately' goodbye to Ninh Binh and our amazing Vancouver Hotel π€! This hotel is by far the best we have stayed in! The brothers who run this hotel are so nice and take care of EVERYTHING π! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay βΊοΈ!
At 10:30 am we got into the car and were driven to the airport in HANOI! The car ride was great because one of the hotel brothers drove and I could ask him some questions along the way π! A lot of locals were sweeping a very large amount of grains into a carpet (that's what it looked like to me)π These carpets - sometimes bigger and wider or longer and narrower - were in front of their houses (stores), so they were practically on the street π΅! I asked David if it was rice and he said yes, they dry it like this! After this process, it is packed in huge bags and used for personal consumption π! It looked very unusual, right there at the roadside!
After 2 hours of pleasant driving, we have now arrived at the airport in Hanoi! We have already checked in our backpacks and now we wait again π¬!
So now I'm writing again from Hoi An, where I'm still lazily lying on the bedπ... The flight here was uneventful, everything went very well π! This hotel in Hoi An is also fantastic, Daniela just said that so far I've had a good hand in choosing hotels π¬π... and I can only confirm that! Unfortunately, we drove to the hotel in the dark, so we couldn't see much. Now we will freshen up and then go to the beautiful old town of Hoi An!
We are currently sitting and eating in the beautiful old town of Hoi Anπ, enjoying a fantastic view of the river from the balcony where we are - with hundreds of lanterns reflecting in the river π! We just placed a wish light into the river. Mine drifted to a small rowboat, the owner was lying on it and her jacket was hanging over, it almost caught fire! Daniela grabbed a stick and pushed the little light away πππ! So, we haven't set anything π on fire yet! We are once again amazed by what we see here! The old town exudes so much charm π€! These small alleys, with great old houses and colorful lanterns hanging everywhere in these alleys π€, it looks absolutely stunning!!!!!
Let's continue and try to absorb as much as possible of this beautiful old town ππ!
Best regards from Hoi An.... oh, it's so beautiful here π€π€π€π€
