This morning we reach Tromso, beautiful entrance into the snowy cold Tromso in the morning light. We decide to visit the Polar Museum and the Arctic Cathedral. Since there is still strong wind, we decide not to take the cable car to Stornsteinen. From Stornsteinen, you have a great panoramic view of Tromso and the fjords. The Arctic Cathedral is an Evangelical Lutheran parish and seamen's church and a landmark of the city of Tromso. It is not a real cathedral, meaning a bishop's church. It was built in 1965 on the mainland side of the city on a small hill on the outskirts of the village. The church is oriented towards the east.
