On the go in the City of Lights

Good morning from Las Vegas,

We just woke up - it's just past 10 am for us. We stayed up a bit later last night, but that's how it goes in Vegas 😁

We started the evening by redeeming Verena's birthday gift, which was watching the Cirque du Soleil show at our hotel.

It was amazing and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting this city! The many performers (including live musicians) put on a show that left us speechless. Some stunts were so daring that it made the audience gasp.

After that, we tried our luck at the countless slot machines at the in-house casino.

It started off quite well. It always takes a while to understand the rules of each machine, but the wide selection and especially the complimentary drinks you get as a player in the casino were too tempting. In the end, we did leave with a small loss (we had gambled away almost half of our budget), but that's how the game goes...

When you open the curtains on the 22nd floor here, you realize that in Las Vegas, everything is just a beautiful illusion. During the day, the hotels still look gigantic, but not as much as when everything sparkles and shines.

We're starting the day off relaxed with a round at the pool 😎
