39 and 40 Day Monday, February 8, 2016 Da Nang

Ku kandziyisiwile: 07.12.2016

Xin Chao,

Hello friends and those who stayed at home, let's continue to the next section with the train in the wood class. In the true sense of the word, the seats are made of wood but still comfortable for our ride over the Cloud Pass in fog and light rain, I didn't expect anything else. Access to the Cloud Pass

Our train journey ended in Da Nang, the 3rd largest city in Vietnam. From there, we took a taxi which should take us to Han market, 2 km away, where a local bus departs to Hoi An, 25 km away. Of course, our driver tried to take us directly through the rush hour throughout the whole ride, starting with 400,000 Vietnamese Dong. I knew one thing, my wallet wouldn't leave more than 300,000. And of course, seemingly a crossroads before the bus stop, he turned in. Ok ok 300.... Until Hoi An, the only problem was that he meant with Hoi An the town entrance sign, about 10 km away from the center, so the next 8 km became a small fight because it was clear to me Hoi An Center and not some sign in the prairie. The driver complained and talked incessantly and constantly pointed to his taxi meter. 1 km before the center, I had enough of it and decided to get off at an intersection. Our mopeds

The remaining 2 km on foot to the hotel. In the evening, I rented a motor scooter for the next day. That's because we were going to the 45 km away temple complex of My Son. They themselves were beautiful, but visited within a good hour.

All the better then there was still time for Hoi An itself, in my opinion the most beautiful place in Vietnam. With its beautiful old houses and alleys along the waterfront promenade, this place really had its charm.

Too bad we were only there for a day, the next morning we went back to Da Nang to the airport and from here the flight to the south to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta but that's another story...

Until then ;-)
