Tag 231 - Finished with canoeing and excursion to the waterfall without water 😅

Hi everyone

It looks like the restrictions are slowly increasing here as well. This morning we received a message from our host that while we can still take a quick dip in the sea to refresh ourselves, lying on the beach is now prohibited. We immediately asked about the canoe, since technically we wouldn't be on the beach with that... Well, not always :p.

Of course, that is also no longer allowed... So our planned day trip went down the drain...

Since there is currently no curfew, we didn't want to spend the whole day in our accommodation. We are sure that a curfew will be imposed soon and we will spend a lot of time lazing around - so we decided to go out while we still can :).

We discovered a waterfall on Google Maps nearby (1.6 kilometers away) and decided to drive there. We calculated that there was a very low chance that this tourist attraction would still be open, but we wanted to give it a try. When we arrived, we were completely surprised! No prohibition signs, barriers, or security personnel. So we happily walked towards the waterfall aaaand... understood why no one was concerned about this attraction. The waterfall is completely dry! Completely, completely dry! Not a drop falls down there :).

Obviously, it only flows during the rainy season...

Well, no big deal. It was kind of funny in a way, and at least we got out of the house.

On the way back, we noticed that the road passed right by a mangrove forest. We stopped briefly, admired the peculiar trees, and took some photos.

Afterwards, we went shopping quickly and returned to our place.

Also.... We had arranged a really great accommodation for April 3rd. Right on the beach, as direct as it gets. Seriously, the terrace would have been in the sand. But... what good is all that if you can't go to the beach? Moreover, we suspect that the restrictions will be further tightened in the next few days and that swimming will be prohibited altogether.

But we wouldn't be us if we didn't already have the next plan ready :).

Kevin is currently looking for a new accommodation for the coming month with a private pool :).

We already have something in mind, in fact, we just have to choose between two accommodations. The best part: they are priced exactly the same as the originally planned lodge :).

As you can see: Sometimes, two stubborn minds who want to have a great vacation no matter what are not so bad :). And it never gets boring somehow :).

So dear ones, you will find out which accommodation won the race on April 3rd, and for today we say goodbye ;).
