On Monday we went shopping in Torquay. Torquay is home to Ripcurl and Ghanda (surfer brands). There are corresponding outlets here. In the evening we cooked with our friends from Hamburg. On Tuesday we drove together to Bells Beach and then in the evening along the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay.
The next day we went to a rainforest where we took a short tour. Then we went to a viewpoint from where you could look out over Apollo Bay. In the evening we met our Hamburg friends again for fish at the harbor.
On Thursday we went along the last part of the Great Ocean Road with stops at the 12 Apostles and, among other things, the London Bridge. We then went camping to Dry Creek, which is located on the river and on the border with South Australia.
The next day we drove to Cape Jervis. Here you had a nice view of Kangaroo Island and the starry sky.
We arrived in Adelaide on Saturday. Here we went to the central market, to the beach and in the evening into the city where we had dinner and went to a street festival. By the way, it was up to 39 degrees during the day.
On Sunday morning we went straight to the Barossa Valley, a wine-growing region north of Adelaide. Here we did a wine tasting before continuing to just before Port Augusta. Here we spent the night in a bush camp.
