Lima, the capital of Peru, is located on the coast. At the same time, it is a city in the desert and there are only a few green spots. That's why it's not easy to find a quiet place in nature. The few parks and gardens need to be well-maintained and, above all, frequently watered.
Despite everything, there are several beautiful parks in the Surco district that attract visitors with shady spots under the trees, colorful plants, and even sports equipment.
No wonder that many people like to do sports here or relax with friends and family.
One of these parks is the Parque de la Amistad, which owes its name to the Arco de la Amistad, which is the centerpiece of the park. In addition, the park is known for the little locomotive that you can ride around the park.
Unfortunately, I didn't have much time today to enjoy the green and shady atmosphere, but I know that I have definitely found my place to do sports and I will spend my free time in these beautiful parks frequently in the coming weeks.
