Tag 188 - Beach: White Beach & Puka Shell Beach

Hi guys!

Today we treated ourselves to a really relaxed day at the beach. After getting some rest, we walked 600 meters to the "white Beach". It lived up to its promises! The sand under our feet was as soft as powdered sugar and so bright that it was blinding without sunglasses. Kevin didn't feel like going into the water, so I decided to inspect it myself :).

It was crystal clear and you could walk and walk without it getting really deep. Really beautiful!

The only downside: a lot of people and endless rules.... On the beach, you are not allowed to: eat, drink, smoke, play music, build sandcastles (!!!) and much more... "Discipline is the best", is written everywhere.......

We had a drink at one of the numerous bars on the beach and after a while we went back to the hotel room.

There we sat on the terrace for a while, took a shower and went out again.

This time we wanted to go to the "Puka Shell Beach". The beach is located in the north of the island, so we took a TukTuk (for CHF 4.-).

In our opinion, it's much more beautiful here! The sand is not as fine as the other one and there are also fewer palm trees. But there are hardly any people and it is directly adjacent to a forest. For us: Top!

We enjoyed a beautiful sunset there and had a beer (and a cigarette :)).

Then we continued with the TukTuk - back to the white Beach. There is just more going on there... We went to a really nice bar that will later turn into a club. The dance floor inside was really special, because it was completely made of sand! Really well done! After that, we went on, had something to eat and made our way back to the hotel.

Now we are sitting on the terrace and letting the day fade away for a while.

See you tomorrow!
