We spent our last full day in the green today. We walked around Golden Gate Park almost all day and enjoyed the sunshine. We especially liked the Japanese Tea Garden. However, you have to pay an additional $9 entrance fee per person for this. In our opinion, it's definitely worth the money!
Countless koi carp swim in the water. Many exceptional bridges and great Japanese sculptures. The icing on the cake is the tea house. There we had excellent jasmine tea with a view of the pond.
Afterwards, we went to the nearby Haight-Ashbury hippie district. It is easily accessible on foot from the park. There seem to be many homeless people hanging around here. But because they don't beg, but sit at the side of the road laughing and singing, it creates a great atmosphere. The area is decorated with great graffiti and the houses are very colorful. The smell of the area also indicates that not only cigarettes are smoked here. It is omnipresent.
We had dinner at Super Duper Burger. The burger was a bit watery and tasteless. But the fries!!! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, that's how fries should be! The best we've had here in America so far.
And for dessert, we went to the Cheesecake Factory and got a Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. Absolutely delicious!
