The stop in Scotland must work! The weather is also absolutely perfect.

Since Edinburgh does not have a cruise port, the ship anchors at sea and tender comes in.

Since it was not clear when our tender is ready, we got up early and even had breakfast in the room.

The way with the tender is quite long, almost 30 minutes one way, and only 8 tenders are allowed to operate (6 from the ship, 2 from the port).

That delayed everything a bit. But at around 11 o'clock, it started with luck we got a port tender. So even sun deck, bagpipe music and some information.

Then we took the bus to the city center (we are actually in Leith) and we were already in the hustle and bustle.

Not as peaceful as in Iceland. Many people, but also an impressive city with great buildings and history. Above all, the castle that towers over the city, everywhere a photo opportunity, you don't know where to look.

First, we walked on foot along the 'royal Mile' and strolled around a bit.

In a pub, we took a break, not for beer, but for fish and chips and bangers and mash.

Absolutely great atmosphere, great food at great prices.

The stop was absolutely worth it.

Afterwards, we decided to explore Edinburgh by bus, it is quite big and hilly (built on seven hills).

So without much muscle soreness, we saw a large part of the capital of Scotland.

Then we looked for the obligatory souvenirs and then back to the ship.

On the way back, the British weather started and we got a bit wet. But since this time it was a tender from the ship, we had to sit inside anyway.

Now we are exhausted. Tomorrow there will be another sea day before the last chapter of this expedition comes - Copenhagen.
