Laguna Veneta

We arrived in the afternoon at a campsite right on the lagoon with a view of Venice. We then made delicious garlic spaghetti and spent the rest of the day relaxing.

Our campsite is located on the entrance route to the industrial port of Venice. So every now and then a container ship or a ferry to Greece passes right in front of our motorhome.

This is absolutely amazing for Per. He even waved to the ships.

Today we took the first ferry to Venice early in the morning to arrive before the big tourist rush. We found a relatively empty Venice and were able to see the main attractions in peace. After a break on St. Mark's Square with a small snack, we took a vaporetto for a tour on the water around Venice and through the Grand Canal. Then we briefly walked through the narrow streets of the city and returned to the campsite early.

Per is sleeping right now and we will chat and listen to music. Tomorrow we will continue towards Florence.
