Las Vegas -> Grand Canyon

When you are well rested at four in the morning, getting up at five o'clock is really easy. So we did that right away and started heading to Las Vegas at eight o'clock in Vancouver. The first impression of this highly artificial city was 'COOL'. When you enter the terminal building from the plane, you can gamble your money or immediately refinance your vacation.

Of course, we didn't do that and went straight to the car rental to live up to the name of the road trip. I had the honor of being the first driver and I immediately used that privilege to head to a fast food restaurant.

After that, we headed towards Grand Canyon with a stop at the impressive Hoover Dam. After more than four hours in the car, we reached our first night on the highway. We were still granted a brief view of the landscape painted by the Colorado River before a thunderstorm and darkness ushered in the evening.
