First impressions from Seoul

Seoul has been the capital of South Korea since its founding in 1948. It is the center of the Sudogwon metropolitan region, which is home to approximately 25 million people and is one of the largest economic areas in the world. The city, located in the northwest of South Korea, is surrounded by mountains on three sides and borders the Yellow Sea to the west. From June to September, it is monsoon season, which means it rains almost every day for a few hours and the humidity is very high. However, in winter, temperatures can drop to -15°C!
