Day 9 - A day as we wished it to be.

The night was calm and this morning the sun woke us up. It was so warm that we couldn't stand it in the tent and had breakfast outside. Then we packed up for the onward journey and enjoyed some time in the sun and the refreshing lake. Our journey today took us towards Fjaerland. Tomorrow, we want to visit a glacier here. The road towards Fjaerland led us through beautiful nature and along many lakes and fjords. It is always fascinating how big and vast this country is and that there is a new natural experience behind every bend. On the way, we had to take the ferry 'Ampere', from Ytre Oppedal to Lavik. This is a special ferry, as it is the world's first with an electric drive.

In addition, we passed an incredibly beautiful waterfall, which is the starting point for a hiking trail. We looked at the surrounding nature, which becomes wilder and more untouched with every kilometer towards the north.

Today, we are staying near the village of 'Vik', in a small bay next to a lake.

For us, this is the most beautiful place we have the privilege of spending the night so far. Unfortunately, it started raining again this evening and we had already washed our laundry.

As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention...

Tomorrow, we will continue towards Ålesund. Hopefully, with good weather and dry laundry.
