I woke up late. The sun had already risen for a long time and I made myself comfortable in my sleeping bag in the cabin. After some time, I went to the common room and had my breakfast (nuts). Together with the couple my age, I started packing and just as we were about to leave, I realized that my rain jacket was missing. I quickly took off my backpack and searched the cabin with the help of others, but there was no sign of my jacket. Since time was pressing, I had to continue without my jacket despite the gray clouds.
We walked up the small dirt road to the main road together. The other two were clearly faster than me, as they had less luggage and were probably fitter than me. Gasping for breath, I arrived at the road and ran towards the bus stop. When it started raining and I could barely see the other two anymore, I stuck out my thumb and was lucky enough to hitch a ride with a middle-aged lady. She took me to the next bus stop with a shelter, where I waited for the bus.
After two stops, my companions also got on the bus, wondering where I was. The bus ride to Kristiansund was very nice, and it felt good for a change not to have to use my legs for transportation. From the islands of the Fjordruta, we took a ferry to the island group where Kristiansund was located. We crossed several bridges until we slowly reached the city center of the coastal town. At a bus stop, I said goodbye to the other two and continued until I reached the town hall.
In Kristiansund, I strolled through the small, idyllic town for a while before I started looking for a place to sleep. Due to the many islands that the city stretched across, I would have had to walk forever to find a quiet spot, so I decided to take the bus to Ålesund on the same day. p>
On the way, I was able to relax a bit and enjoyed the ferry rides along the route. In Ålesund, I got off at a suitable bus stop and climbed up the hill that covered the entire peninsula of the city. There, in the dark, I set up my hammock and went to sleep.
