14.11.18 - Magnetic Island

From Townsville, you can take a ferry to Magnetic Island. Everyone we met so far insisted that we must visit this island... We decided not to stay overnight on the island and instead took a day trip there. A girl from our room joined us, and on the island, we were greeted by a backpacker whom I knew from a Facebook group. She works there and had until 2 PM to show us around the island 👍😊

First, we went to the scooter rental and rented scooters to explore the island more independently. Then we went to a hiking trail called 'The Forts.' It was extremely hot, making it quite challenging. After that, the backpacker from the island showed us a small area where there were wild koalas! 🐨 We saw 4 or 5 of them! Sooooo cute! A baby was with its mother! And another young koala too!

From there, we continued to drive with just the three of us and visited two beautiful beaches for swimming and explored the island a bit more. Unfortunately, we had to return the scooters by 5 PM...
