Nobaaaad together
Sorry for the break, but unfortunately we didn't have wifi on the boat π.
We got up at 6.30 am yesterday because our trip to Halong Bay was scheduled. The bus was supposed to pick us up at 7.50 am. Well, the Vietnamese seem to be a bit more relaxed, it was finally 8.30 am when we were picked up from the hostel and 9.30 am when we finally started π. On the way and during the wait for the bus, we already met some Canadians (there were almost only Canadians on the trip) and Flo, he is from Bavaria and was pretty happy to have met us because he doesn't speak English π. The bus ride took about 3 1/2 hours and we were really excited because we had no idea what to expect π€π€·π½ββ.
When we arrived at Halong Harbor, we had to get on a small boat that took us to our actual big boat π.
During the ride, we found out that we are on the second largest boat in Halong Bay. We were a bit confused when we arrived, it was really huge. When we checked into our room, we were really happy ππ½, the room was better than some hostels, we even had a balcony π±π. The joy was so great that Lara threw her glasses into the sea. Oops π€·π½ββππ. The boat also had a huge indoor pool and 2 outdoor whirlpools. So really nice.
After that, we all had lunch, which was really good. And theeeeen we finally got to swim. Lara jumped into the water from above right away (the water is really dirty), Jasna only from below because of her fear of heights π€·π½ββπ. But the water is really warm, so it's comfortable π. There was also a water trampoline. And a lot of beer π». After swimming, we went kayaking (no, we didn't sink) and went to a small bay. The nature there is really amazing. Really amazing, and all uninhabited. We had a few moments of silence to listen to the nature, really fascinating. When we got back to our boat, there was beer yoga.. well, what can you say, here everything revolves around drinking π€·π½ββππ.
Then we went to shower and get ready and then to dinner. After dinner, our tour guide (his name was phat π) delivered a dance show, then the party started. There were simply 3 birthdays (also a nice birthday, in Vietnam on a party boat at 30 degrees ππ½π). But since we are not used to so many people and everyone was chilling in the pool, we went to the deck and chilled there.
The next morning we were really tired when the alarm went off at 7 am π₯Ίπ. But we didn't want to miss breakfast.
From there, the day was unspectacular, three-quarters of the people left the boat early because they had another night on an island and we had to wait to be picked up. After lunch, we finally got to land and got on the bus. The bus was super small and cramped and the air was really gross. And the bus ride took a relaxed 4 hours π€¦π½ββ. Also, the bus driver almost killed us because he overlooked a truck (he was driving IN FRONT of him the whole time). OOPS, can happen π€¦π½ββ. Anyway, we arrived in Hanoi alive, had something to eat and now we're going to sleep π΄ π€.
In this sense, good night and have a nice day ππΎπ€.
