Hospital and Christmas in Bangkok

Imechapishwa: 23.05.2018

After my knee did not heal properly in Luang Prabang and I didn't want to come back to Germany with only one leg ;-P, I flew to Bangkok in early December. There, my leg was treated at the hospital every two days (cut open and cleaned again) and luckily the wound healed better.

Bangkok is a metropolis full of extremes and this time I felt quite comfortable in this stuffy city that never sleeps. I explored unknown and familiar corners, met some inspiring people, found a wonderful hostel (The Revolution Hostel), tried new vegetarian delicacies, and celebrated Christmas with dinner, music, and my first night on the famous Khao San Road.

In spite of Buddhism, there was Christmas decoration everywhere... and the shopping malls were outdoing each other in size and bling-bling :)

Selfie time in Asia style with wonderful people.

Searching and finding street art... I love that in big cities

After three weeks in Bangkok, shortly after Christmas, I headed back to Laos and took the bus to Vientiane to meet my little brother Ansgar.
