The morning started with a more or less unexpected eviction from the parking lot where we had settled in quite well. The 'parking attendant' whom I had assured two days ago that we were only taking a short break seemed to be on duty again and was less than pleased to still find us there. Understandable. Nevertheless, no big deal, we will of course leave immediately.
The climbing area just 10 km away was planned for today anyway, so we headed there directly without having breakfast first.
A beautifully situated climbing rock on the Hausberg of Dubrovnik, the Srd. Short approach and good parking or overnight options make it an optimal next stop.
In the afternoon, we had our first small climbing session. There are still some other people at the rock doing a course, so there are significantly fewer routes available. The group is really nice and we have a relaxed start for today.
In the evening, we unexpectedly get a visit from a couple whose goal is to ride a tandem bike to Japan. The duo was looking for a place to cook and sleep when they spontaneously decided to sit with us. Among travelers, there is naturally a lot to talk about, especially when you are traveling with a tandem bike that has been on the road since November and plans to ride around half the world. Very pleasant, inspiring people, Friedemann-Amadeus and Alexandra. Nice encounter. After dinner and comfortable traveler talk, both of them decide to continue riding or take a hotel in the next town. The weather forecast is pretty bad, with a 90% to 100% chance of rain for tonight and tomorrow morning. Too bad, probably also for us and our climbing plans.
