About 1 year ago, we saw this bottle in a German supermarket - Australian Ginger Beer. It smiled at us and we took it with us. Throughout the past year, new bottles have been added steadily and we even started collecting them. Like many other Australians, we have become addicted to this non-alcoholic Ginger Beer. You don't know it? Keep an eye out for the brown bottle with the orange label at Rewe or Edeka โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‰.

This drink comes from Bundaberg, and today we visited the brewery.

On our first shopping trip here in Australia, we noticed that there is not only one variety that we know from Germany. Today we know that there are a total of 19 different flavors. From Ginger Beer to Apple soda, Pineapple-Coconut, Licorice, or Guava, there is something for everyone. After a short tour through the history of the drink and its inventor, we were able to connect live to the production halls and observe all processes on a monitor. Then we went for a tasting, where we could try all the flavors. From 'uhhh very tasty' to 'well, I don't necessarily need it' - everything was there. Afterwards, we were allowed to put together a 6-pack each and left the premises happily.

In addition to the very tasty drink, Bundaberg is also known for its rum - but we did not taste it. Furthermore, the region is a paradise for backpackers, as there are many fruit and vegetable plantations that need diligent helpers.

For tonight, we found a nice spot just a few kilometers outside of Bundaberg. This time even with a hot shower ๐Ÿ›€...
