Return journey, San Jose - Zurich - Munich

Our flight is at half past 3. We'll be at Adobe Rent a Car around noon and the return of the car went smoothly.

A shuttle will take us to the airport. Checking in is done by a friendly Lufthansa employee. In the security area, we buy coffee liqueur and use up our last Colones.

The Edelweiss is on time and we have 11 hours of flight ahead of us. Unfortunately, neither of us can sleep.

Only on the 35-minute flight with Helvetic to Munich can I get a little sleep.

When we arrive at Munich airport, we wait almost 45 minutes for our luggage and Rebecca, who picks us up from the airport, has to go round twice.

It's only after being awake for 26 hours that we fall asleep and wake up again after 14 hours. It's good that it's Sunday. The weather is very, very cold and unpleasant, but after 3 weeks, we're looking forward to being home again.
