La daabacay: 30.05.2017
The temperatures hardly dropped during the night, so the day started much too warm. The first 10 km out of the city center of Paris were expected to be quite difficult. Few bike lanes, easy to medium ascents, some road construction sites, and the sun in the blue sky. The intersections were often confusing, so I had to push my bike a lot to find the right way. It got a little better in the suburbs.
After just under 20 kilometers, I ripped one of my panniers off at a not-so-narrow spot on a metal post. I think I can keep going with a temporary fix.
Then the route led me to the Marne. There were some well-developed bike paths, but also stretches where hardly anyone rides.
All in all, I made much slower progress today than expected. But at least I reached the stage goal.
Then the innkeeper said that the 'Internet is broken', whatever that exactly means, I don't know. In any case, I have no internet connection and will only upload this tomorrow.
