Early in the morning, we got ready to leave because it was still very windy and the sea looked very gloomy. But it wasn't as bad as it looked on the rain radar. The forecast quality is not very impressive at the moment.
So once we were ready, we left the bikes and drove about 10 miles to Lyme Regis Fossil Beach. The way down to the beach was quite steep, where we immediately started searching for fossils. It was funny to see everyone examining the stones. The car has become much heavier. My goal of filling only a small IKEA jar with rocks and shells has already been surpassed 🙁
We then went to a DIY store where they only offered Click & Collect. Fortunately, they still sold us a hammer and a chisel. Back at the campsite, we cooked something quickly and then Moritz wanted to do some hammering at the local beach.
I didn't go with him because I prepared the car again. With some effort, I managed to free up some space in the interior and also arranged the cooler box inside with rain protection and power supply. My outdoor cable box is working quite well 😊
So we should be able to leave early in the morning.
Moritz uncovered a beautiful fossil.
In the evening, we cooked under the table in the rain and now everyone is enjoying their sleeping bags and the very quiet campsite.
