Going with the flow

La daabacay: 10.09.2018

On Friday morning I sleep in. I was lucky and got a single bed by the window, separated from the rest of the room. We are only two in the 5-bed room, so it's very quiet.

However, I wake up around 8 and decide to go for a jog at the lake where you can swim, before I have to check out at 10.

When the two girls from London continue their journey, they leave me a piece of 'Kremsnita' (the famous cake from Bled). I definitely wanted to try the cake, preferably in a nice café, but this one from the supermarket tastes amazing too :-D I spend the morning in the hostel, finally setting up my planned travel blog.

On my way to Ljubljana, I stop at Lake Bohinj, which is supposed to be super beautiful and not as touristy as Bled. I'm so glad that I made this detour, even though I have all my luggage with me, because the lake is just sooo beautiful!

The lake is colder than the one in Bled, but that doesn't stop me from taking a second swim ;-) Then I see a few kayaks. I rent one for an hour and can safely store my luggage in the office of the rental station during that time.

It starts raining only when I'm back on the bus. In Ljubljana, I have a delicious dinner at Ali's Indian restaurant. There is a tomato soup that is quite spicy, salad and vegetarian pulao (a rice dish that I know from Kenya under the name pilau). Furthermore, I can do proper laundry for the first time after a week of travel. What a perfect day...
