Fuentes de Béjar is a locality and a municipality in the southeast of the province of Salamanca, in Castilla y León (Spain, Europe). It is part of the comarca of the Sierra de Béjar. It belongs to the judicial district of Béjar, the judicial district No. 4 of the province of Salamanca, and also forms part of the municipal associations of Embalse de Béjar and Pantano de Santa Teresa.
Due to its strategic location a little more than 5 km from Guijuelo, the Spanish capital of Iberian ham, Fuentes de Béjar (along with other municipalities in the area) is today a clear exponent of modern, hardworking, entrepreneurial, and innovative Spain, having a total of 2 factories producing hams and Iberian cold cuts plus 1 very important refrigerated slaughterhouse called El Navazo (the latter, due to its great international renown, is the company that brings the most money to Fuentes de Béjar) which provide life to the town and offer job positions, making Fuentes de Béjar one of the municipalities in the province of Salamanca with the fewest people unemployed and the most people employed (it stands at the level of towns in the province such as Guijuelo itself, the neighboring Ledrada, or Santa Marta de Tormes, among others).
It has a population (according to INE data for the year 2023) of 233 inhabitants and an area of 14.47 km².
The beautiful parish church is dedicated to Our Lady of Purification; it is from the 17th century and is in Salmantine Romanesque style.
