The capital of British Columbia and, coincidentally, also my middle name and, accordingly, half of my city. I am absolutely in love with the city. Even from the plane, the island showed us how much it has to offer and we were greeted with beautiful weather when we arrived. Victoria itself is a cute little port city and is very British-style with lovely architecture. We were very lucky to see sea lions, peacocks and bald eagles on the first day. Victoria also has beautiful parks and nature. We also tried bison sausage here and bought bison meat for grilling. We also visited the parliament in Victoria. From Victoria you can also see the mountain range around Port Angeles, which is still covered in snow. We also visited two churches in Victoria and Fisherman's Wharf. It was a great start to this road trip. Unfortunately, I have a slight cold and my nose is blocked, but I can't complain. Of course, we visited one of the micro breweries here again and this time even one that is modeled on German beers. For me, however, there was only non-alcoholic wheat beer. In the evening, we also saw the illuminated parliament from further away and kept that option open for our last evening on Vancouver Island, as we are ending up in Victoria again. Today we are heading on to Tofino.
