This morning I made my way to the Victoria Market. On Saturdays, half the city gathers there to eat, buy fruits and vegetables, and shop. I had to leave all the souvenirs behind, I can't carry everything since I still have some destinations ahead π .
A huge line in front of a donut shop made me join the queue (it must be delicious). Basically, they were just Berliners in a different shape, tasty π.
Afterwards, I met up with Nadine at the botanical garden. After a walk, we went our separate ways and I wanted to do the free tour. A demonstration prevented me from doing so, and I ended up at the State Library, very impressive.
Then we met up for a meal and tried typical Melbourne food. Anyone coming to Melbourne should definitely visit Mrs Parmas. Overloaded schnitzels in different variations π (schnitzel, Berliner, fries π€). Melbourne is multicultural and I just walked through China Town because I was full π .
Afterwards, we went to the Berlin Bar for a nightcap, a bar that takes you back to the past, from West Berlin and East Berlin.
At Southern Cross, I said goodbye to Nadine, who continues her journey towards Adelaide.
Tomorrow, I will try again with the tour and go to St. Kilda Pier to hopefully see some little penguins π...
