In the hotel in Alice Springs there was a wonderful pool for swimming. The temperature was perfect at 33 degrees. Afterwards, I had to prepare for the next few days, as I only wanted to bring my backpack.
The next day we took the bus 440 km towards Ayers Rock Resort. The driver explained everything about the history and it was entertaining. We stopped at a camel farm where you could ride camels or eat camel burgers. We made more short stops to take photos or have a drink. Finally, we arrived at the resort and could check into our room.
At 5:00 p.m. we were picked up to see the sunset at Kata Tjuta. There was wine or beer and various canapes. The next morning we were picked up at 4:30 a.m. for the sunrise. Afterwards, we were able to visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Center. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time and couldn't see everything. We took a short walk on the Walpa Gorge Trail. We watched the sunset at Uluru and then had a BBQ.
The next morning I had some time and booked a helicopter flight. That was really great!
Then we took the bus towards Kings Canyon and there I had my private pool at the resort. The next day a hike was planned, about 3 hours of walking, of course guided. That was interesting and we were a small group. After that, we went back to Alice Springs.
