La daabacay: 28.12.2017
The jet lag is mostly slept off and so we went to breakfast at 8 o'clock.
Eggs in various variations, rolls like from Aldi, sausages, noodles (Asian style), 5 different types of juice, fresh fruit and much more were offered to us by the hotel.
After a balanced breakfast, we went straight on an exploration tour of Perth.
On the way to the river, we crossed Langley Park, a very large lawn in great condition and not a single spot of litter. On the edge of the park, at regular intervals, there are small workout stations where you could do everything from strength to endurance training. Of course, with a view of the river and the brilliant weather...
But then we decided to keep walking, crossed the street and stood in front of the Swan River.
From here, we walked away from the city center for a while to see Lake Vasto, which is surrounded by a small park. There were a lot of birds here - especially cockatoos.
Then we walked a small arc and reached the KU DE TA - no, I didn't just hit the keyboard, that's really what it's called.
The whole thing is a fish restaurant where you could also book a river tour by boat. Everything was a bit more expensive there, so we aimed for the city center.
We then walked along the entire Swan River until we arrived at "The Bell Tower"
This is an observation tower with a larger bell inside.
From here, we continued to Elizabeth Quay. Here, in addition to a boat dock and departures to Rottnest Island, there is simply a really beautiful view of the river and the view towards the city is also worth seeing. When you look at Elizabeth Quay, you can see how new this city actually is. There are hardly any really old-looking buildings.
After a little refreshment and an ice chocolate for the way, we continued into the city.
The city is really clean, multicultural (so many Asians) and the people are very friendly. Everyone greets everyone here and some people start a small talk even though they don't know each other.
Really awesome attitude!
In the city, there were several shopping arcades with many shops. Of course, a food street must not be missing. Everything was really available here.
When we came back to the hotel, the tractor showed 33867 steps. I would say - daily goal achieved.
Then we thought that we could throw the frisbee a bit in Langley Park and relax there and let the day come to an end.
