Our route now led us from Jasper over the Icefield Parkway - a highway created exclusively for tourists - to Lake Louise in Banff National Park.
We had good weather again and we drove through magnificent landscapes. In addition to many photo stops, where we climbed over some rubble walls at the side of the road to find the best possible perspective for the cameras, we also did a few hikes: at the Columbia Icefield (to the Athabasca Glacier), up to Parker Ridge, and at Peyto Lake to the viewpoint.
At our (last) destination - Lake Louise - we will now stay for 6 days and explore Banff National Park and the surrounding national parks (Yoho National Park, Glacier National Park, Revelstoke National Park, and Kootenay National Park).
