15.11.2018:
Once again, I woke up refreshed and started exploring two viewing platforms. On the way there, we encountered two checkpoints. At first, I was driving, but we quickly switched on the road before it was too late.
The problem is that there are no 50cc scooters in Asia that you can ride with a German class B driver's license. There are only 125cc motorcycles, which require a motorcycle license. I didn't get that license with my class B license back then. Now I needed it. If you get caught, you just have to pay a fine but can continue driving. In Indonesia, the police can even be bribed, said Patrick. But we were lucky.
After visiting the viewing platforms, we went to an abandoned beach. The path there was already difficult. With a translation app, we asked locals for directions. It was actually quite hidden. We passed by dilapidated bungalows. It seemed like everyone had simply fled here after the tsunami and the bungalows were never restored. Although they didn't look too bad. Often, there were just missing tiles on the roofs. Besides us, there were only two girls on the beach.
Then we drove to Big Buddha just before it got dark. From there, we had the perfect view of the sunset. In the evening, we packed and rested.
