Okay, first of all: there is still not much to report. Every day is relatively the same, I have a thousand things in my head that I want to do, learn, and read, but at the same time I try to adapt to the pace of the Ugandan people (snail's pace) - I think I'm a bit too German!
The past few days I didn't have internet and that wasn't so bad, because I have to admit that I already spend a lot of time on my phone and on the internet!
Now I go jogging twice a day, I forgot how much fun it is when you're a bit fit. Due to all the strength training, my stamina had decreased a lot and now I can slowly feel it coming back! Yesterday I ran really really fast and it was awesome :D
Also, I finally started meditating again. The last time I meditated was two days before leaving with a friend and it didn't work out because our stomachs were rumbling. I can't even remember before that! Here, I meditate twice a day again. It's really not that easy, especially because the youngest children don't really understand and try to talk to me, pull out my earplugs, and sit on my lap. But most of the time it somehow works, and each time the little ones realize that I'm not approachable during these 2 times 15 minutes. I'm also practicing the meditation posture, it really pulls in the back and is an extra back training :p
Well, I can feel myself becoming calmer, slowly adapting to the pace and way of life in Uganda, and actually there's not much to report, I just wanted to take advantage of the WiFi and send a sign of life :)
Next week, the construction work on the new house will probably continue and I get to help. I'm looking forward to it: finally getting involved! And then there will surely be more to report.
At the moment, I'm considering coming back in March, because there is something important to do for university. Then I could go again from mid-April to June! Maybe to South America? Or California? Actually, I didn't want to go to the USA, but since I heard something from my old host family there again, I would really like to go back and for 400 Euros there are already round trips in that period :o Well, I still have some time to think about it.
Ps. I'm just waiting to get malaria, I don't use mosquito spray anymore because it's just disgusting and there are hardly any mosquitoes inside, but I've been bitten several times already.
Pps. My belly is growing and growing and growing. I already did a poll on Snapchat: Is it a tumor, a baby, rice, water, or am I just getting fat? Hahaha it could be anything, I guess it's ascites (water belly) or just fat (with what I eat here)
Ppps. I want to have a dog (yes, I know, it doesn't make sense right now, but you want to know what I'm thinking hahah)
Ppppss. I was called "Mama" - Help! Fortunately, this project here is like a family, which means that none of the children get too attached to me, I think/hope
