Dec 25th.
From the Blue Mountains, we now headed down to the coastal region to Coffs Harbor, a small town between Sydney and Brisbane. The place is known for its banana farms and as a great place to surf.
We took the opportunity to walk on Morton Island, an offshore island, and simply enjoy the landscape. When we spent some time at the beach in the afternoon, it was strange for us to see the Australian youth celebrating in Santa Claus costumes.
We spent the night on the banks of a river, where we simply parked our camper at a picnic area. However, at this point, we didn't know that the trees around us were full of flying foxes. During breakfast, we were surprised by the loud cries of the flying creatures. What was an exciting spectacle for us, the Australians hardly noticed at all.
