b.) infinity
c.) the sausage has two.
Well, guess?
Unfortunately, it's not a.) and I think scientists are still arguing about b.) today.
Yeah, and so our days on tour are slowly coming to an end. That went by quickly. Crazy, it's already been four weeks.
Our days here at Lake Ledro are simply fantastic. We have amazing weather (today it's over 30°C) and a really great campsite.
After exploring the area a bit on Friday (May 26th) and cycling around the lake, the three of us took a walk on Saturday. We started around 10 o'clock. It was still cloudy then, and it was great to walk and push the stroller. After a cappuccino break in Pieve and getting supplies at the supermarket, we continued on to the next stage.
After about two-thirds, we met a couple on a bench at the 'dog beach' (we didn't realize it at first because there were also people there; but it was a separate area just for dogs. Exemplary!) who also left on May 2nd and were in Croatia and have now ended up here. Funny. Their daughter's name is Johanna and she was born on November 19th, 2016... and again, a few parallels ;-)
Today (Sunday, May 28th), I went out early on my bike. I just rode without a plan. The bike route network here is simply fantastic. Great signage and paths just for cyclists. I rode to Lago D'Ampolo and was hoping for a similar backdrop as at Lake Ledro. Tough luck: it was just a puddle in a nature reserve. The route was still awesome though :-)
We spent the rest of the day chilling. It's so warm, we spend our time in the shade.
Tomorrow we want to walk around the lake again; it was just so wonderful and we want to enjoy the tranquility once again.
We plan to leave here early in the morning on Tuesday (May 29th). This place should be our last on our journey. If all goes well, we will need a net 9 hours to get to Wolfhagen; with breaks, possibly 12-14 hours. Let's see if that works; if not, we'll just make another stop; we have everything with us ;-)
Looking back on the four weeks, the only conclusion for me is: It was the most amazing time ever :-) Spending so much time with the family and watching Hannes 'grow up' is simply fantastic. I'm very grateful that the three of us were able to enjoy this time together. And at home, there are still three more weeks of parental leave waiting for us :-).
We thank you very much for accompanying us on our journey. When we see each other again soon, we'll be happy to tell you more.
All the best,
Tina, Hannes & Steffen
