A good two hour drive from Sydney is the “Blue Mountains National Park”, which consists of many impressive waterfalls, rainforests and steep rock faces.
So in the early morning we started our first short hike, the view from the lookout was promising and after what felt like 1000 steps along the rock face we were surprised by a waterfall.
If it weren't for our respect for the many poisonous animals and a construction site, we would definitely have hiked many more kilometers.
It wasn't so wild and we just went back, drove to two more spots with the camper and went on short hikes again, where we also passed great passages and were able to admire nature.
This time we were welcomed at the campsite by a band of cockatoos, who were very friendly and kept us company as we planned for the next few days.
We quickly ate a few more burgers and went to bed, as it was getting quite cool in the mountains in the evening.
