07.08.2018 - Day trip to Meteora, dinner by the sea

Got up early. Enjoyed the magnificent view of Melani Beach and the islands of Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonissos during breakfast.

Then we started the tour to Meteora to see the "elevated" monasteries there. We visited two of them, which was quite strenuous. Eve lit a candle in the first one. We only viewed the rest of the monasteries from the outside.

(Everything has been beautifully arranged for tourism, which looks good visually, but I didn't like it because the special charm of Meteora is lost for me. It was much better before). In addition, there were hardly any monks to be seen compared to earlier times (70s / 80s), but there was a lot of commerce.

On the way back, we inspected the port of Volos and then had a nice dinner between Volos and Siki in Agria right on the beach.

Afterwards, we did some shopping in Argalasti and then ended the evening in our little cottage.
