Tag 120 - Big Shopping

This morning I met with Carla, who Silvana has shopped for groceries with several times, and her oldest daughter. Silvana left me money with the request to meet with Carla and do a big shopping. We mainly put essential groceries in the shopping cart: a 10-kilo bag of rice, beans, oil, tomatoes, eggs, pasta, etc. For each item, she looked at me questioningly: is this okay?

I know that hygiene items, especially women's hygiene items, are a luxury for her, so I sent her to the aisle with the appropriate items. She was embarrassed and she put the package with the sanitary pads at the very bottom of the shopping cart. In the end, there were still 25 dollars left, which I gave her in Cordobas.

The bus station is only 200 to 300 meters away, but we had definitely bought 30 kilos. Silvana always put Carla in a taxi with all the purchases. The rest of us walked. But today, one of the adjacent streets was closed and we stood in the sun for 15 minutes without success. So we ended up carrying everything to the bus terminal.

I have a photo of the last action with Carla, her three girls, and me. I have thought for a long time whether I should upload it. If I had asked her for permission, out of gratitude she would have said yes. So far, the girls are still completely unaware of the internet. I can't bring myself to put them on the web, which we all know never forgets.
