S: Buenos Aires, last days in South America,

5 years ago, I was here for the last time. If you asked me what I did exactly here, I couldn't give you an exact answer. Buenos Aires must be experienced and cannot be described.

That's why I was incredibly excited to find life again after several weeks of Patagonian solitude. Moranne, Fabienne's classmate from Kanti times, has been living in Buenos Aires for more than two years and was so kind to let us stay in her cool apartment.

If I had to emigrate, Buenos Aires would be in the top 3 destinations, if only the economic situation were a little better and Buenos Aires weren't so far away :-)

About the Argentine Peso: Currently, the official exchange rate from USD to ARS (Argentine Peso) is 1:60. On the 'black market', you can get up to 72 ARS in cash for USD. However, the best method has proven to be Western Union: download the app, load 500 USD onto a credit card, withdraw ARS at a Western Union branch at a rate of 1:82. So at the moment, it is extremely cheap to travel in Argentina. Example: T-bone steak at a top address, 750g cost around 1200 ARS, top bottle of Malbec 800 ARS.

South America is now (for now) history. After a little over 4 months on the South American continent, we have now arrived in New Zealand. 14-hour flight and skipping a day (we flew late on the 26th and landed in the morning on the 28th).
