La daabacay: 24.06.2017
We set off quite early, and although Per fell asleep quickly during the journey, he woke up immediately when we wanted to get fresh croissants from a bakery. But we had only completed half of the journey (about 60km). His rhythm is changing and his naps are getting shorter. We still have to get used to it. Papa was able to keep Per busy, so the two of them had some fun in the back during the second part of the journey.
We drove over the bridge at Saint Nazaire, which took us over the Loire. It is 3.3km long and 61m high at its highest point. It looked amazing and was fun to drive over.
Camping Château du Deffay is a very nice, quiet campsite.
We spent our time on a bike ride and swimming, as usual. And for the first time, we took Per on a trampoline, and he laughed his head off.
With the camping cookbook 'Open Air' that I received as a gift from Omi, I was able to cook something really delicious for us. Highly recommended. Quick, tasty, and uncomplicated dishes.
After our English neighbor explained to us why he was constantly looking in our direction with binoculars, we were really curious. We were then able to watch the woodpecker with Per, who was diligently feeding his little chicks. The tree was right next to our RV.
Per waves very eagerly, but as soon as someone else waves or talks to him, he is completely bewildered and doesn't do anything except look very serious. We really feel like he is making huge strides and has become a real little boy. Time flies.
