Welcome Back!
So I'm currently in Switzerland now and thanks to my host Mario, I can give you a brief update using the WG-WLAN. I can also show you my vehicle(s) that will accompany me from now on. After all the deliveries arrived on time, I am now equipped with food, mattress, clothes, and many other things.
I drove from Austria to Switzerland on Saturday and have been staying at Mario's flat share until today. After my 5-hour drive, I was very happy to arrive here, with better weather than the 16 degrees and rain at home. Mario welcomed me and then we took a walk in the sunshine (and a few clouds) after a short chat with his roommate.
The walk got a bit out of hand when we looked at the climbing wall behind Mario's house and then went up to the Alt-Wartburg from there.
On the way up, we saw some lizards in the occasional rays of sunshine and heard rustling on the path and in the undergrowth from time to time.
The view here is really really beautiful.
On the castle with the guard Mario. When we climbed the walls (meaning we climbed the stairs), we were amazed at the size and also the dimensions of the past. Putting all those stones on top of each other was certainly not building sandcastles.
After the walk, we had a delicious home-cooked dinner and then went to bed early because the next day we had to go to the climbing World Cup in Bern.
I'll tell you about that in the next post.
Yours, Britta
