Given the bright sun and the resulting heat, we no longer really felt like going on long hikes. There was nowhere to hide. We spent some days lazing around in the quarters, reading and eating; always oscillating between hot sun and cool shade. But I can't stand being lazy for more than a day and so we started again - a day at the sea, looking at stranded puffer fish, dried up grasshoppers and fragments of giant clams; another day in the Canyon de Nacapule. There was another path that we really wanted to explore. It was only short, but very beautiful. Unfortunately, the climbing came to an abrupt end when Paul slipped and rammed three giant splinters into his thumb. They then had to be removed surgically. :-(
So our days in Guaymas came to an end and today we took the Albatros to Hermosillo again. One last day in the sunny capital of the state of Sonora before the long flight home to the German spring (which I'll take alone if necessary ;-))
