In the morning, we completed the last two dives and discovered interesting marine life beneath the surface. In the afternoon, we went ashore with our guide, Cristian. We made a stop at El Chato Reserve in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island. It is a vast area full of lush greenery and hundreds of Galapagos giant tortoises. These animals can grow up to 1.3 meters in size and weigh up to 250 kilograms. We observed small, large, and medium-sized tortoises eating, cooling off in muddy pools, and relaxing. In between, we explored some lava tunnels underground to gain insights into the island's formation history. Then, we returned to our ship, Aqua. A beautiful last day of our diving safari.
