Louise Lake & an Encounter

La daabacay: 11.06.2023

Today my day started at half past 5, because I wanted to secure a parking space at one of the most popular lakes here in the national park. Said and done. Still a bit rumpled but full of anticipation, I set off. It was mostly cloudy today, which didn't diminish the beauty. Breathtaking glacier lake. Today I covered 1000 meters of elevation gain (!). I am so grateful to my body for being so fit and for being able to hike long and challenging trails 🙏 I am also grateful to the many rocks that provided safe passage. These reflections are simply divine and impressive. Unmatched in purity. I walk slower than others, but I am steady and arrive at the destination less exhausted. I met many friendly people today, who smiled at me, sweet children who would have preferred to run uphill and their parents panting behind them 😄 I was rarely alone today, as the trail is very popular and it was a weekend. But since I was already on the trail so early, it was still alright.

After finally reaching the lower Louise Lake with burning thighs, my mind was very tired from constantly descending cautiously. It was very steep and rocky.

Right next to the lake stood an indigenous man, possibly even a shaman, who allowed himself to be photographed in front of a wall for his people. He seemed very powerful and clear. He was taking pictures with a few Chinese people, and when they were finished, I asked one of them if he could take the photo for me. I then positioned myself next to the sublime man without saying a word, and he gave me a feather in my hand with the words: if you need love, put it in front of the heart; if you need healing, put it in front of your stomach. (You can see where I'm holding it) Then, as the first picture was being taken, he said, 'you have a very strong spirit,' I looked at him and asked, 'can you sense which spirit it is?' He was just about to say something, looked at the photographer, then back at me, placed his hand on my back again, and felt into me. He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again and said firmly, 'you are very strong, you are a warrior - keep going!' My heart was pounding loudly the whole time, and I thanked him and left. My tiredness disappeared instantly, and I started to wonder what I am a born warrior for. In which area of life and how exactly. However, I felt honored to stand next to him because I felt that he carried a lot of wisdom within him.

The rest of the day I spent relaxed and somewhat pensive.

By the way, today I had intermittent mobile data. So don't be surprised if you don't hear from me for a day or two. I don't know why that happened.

Sending you lots of love and hugs!
