After getting a taste of the sea air at the beginning of summer, we now plan to take it a little more leisurely on our second tour in 2023. Less long distances by car, fewer changes of location, a little less culture and so on. But a lot of nature, a lot of time, a lot of cycling. We love cycling at a leisurely pace, as flat as possible and completely relaxed. Burgundy promises countless cycle routes far away from car traffic. Let's see if we get our money's worth?!
The first stop is the Besançon campsite – not quite Burgundy yet, but definitely worth seeing. A must of course is a visit to the citadel high above the city. It is still summery hot, the thermometer is well over 30 degrees. And lo and behold: a cycle path leads from the campsite in Chalezeule along the Doubs directly into the city in just under half an hour. So get on your bike!
