...Hape Kerkeling probably thought the same once...
and I did too. So I set off this morning. In the footsteps of my grandparents...but the other way around. Over the Arlberg and then towards the Reschen Pass down into the Vinschgau valley.
(So I just decided against correct capitalization and correct spelling. The autocorrect is doing its best and the rest doesn't matter to me. That's how the crazy "hippy" camping culture writes it anyway. Simple life rocks!!...and Liane...I hope you forgive...;) --> nowadays I've done a little bit of proofreading!!
So. Where did I leave off...Ah yes...my journey over the Reschen Pass into the Vinschgau valley.
My vacation started exactly when I made a stop at the sunken church tower at Lake Reschen. That's exactly what it did when I was a child too...during our numerous trips to South Tyrol. Back then, this tower had an even more spectacular effect than it does today. But I have to admit, I still find it pretty cool.
Together with motorcyclists, tractors, and what feels like 10,000 other drivers, you then drive along the apple fields down the slope. Beautiful scenery...but I can't wait to finally set up my 'camping area'...it's going to be fun...
