Today we are heading towards Vancouver, from where we will take a direct flight back to Switzerland in the early evening, Canadian time. Vancouver is a city in southwestern British Columbia on the west coast of Canada. It is located between the Strait of Georgia and the Coast Mountains, about 45 kilometers northwest of the US border. With a population of 2,642,825, it is the largest metropolitan area in Western Canada and the third largest in the country after Toronto and Montreal. The population of the actual city of Vancouver is 662,248. The city is named after British Captain George Vancouver, who explored and surveyed the region in the late 18th century. The name Vancouver itself comes from the Dutch 'van Coevorden', derived from the city of Coevorden. Our disembarkation and transfer, with a city tour, went excellently, a big thank you to Hurtigruten. After a smooth flight, we land in Zurich, with so many beautiful moments, impressions, and photographs.
