A hop on hop off tour was on our program for the past two days. We made a stop at Beverly Hills. It's obviously a quarter of the rich. There are beautiful villas there and palm trees rise on both sides of the streets. The grass is bright green and evenly mown short. It doesn't smell and there isn't a single chewing gum wrapper lying around on the sidewalk. Everything is so nice and clean. You feel more comfortable there compared to the rest of the city 😀. Unfortunately we didn't meet a star - or at least didn't recognize one. You immediately notice that the “normal world” ends here and a different world begins.
Yesterday we stopped at the beaches of LA. First we were stranded on Santa Monica Beach and then Venice Beach. There we saw a little cat with its owner on a leash (eeehm Katzi was on a leash 😃). Elisa was very happy about it because she is on cat withdrawal. However, Eddy is being looked after very lovingly, for which we are very grateful. The hangover isn't that easy either 😇. When we come back, he probably won't fit in the cage anymore... 🥘 He's probably already gained 1000g in the 2 weeks at Hotel Schubert 😅🙈. The beaches are amazing 🔨: wide, white and the people are spread out across the numerous long stretches of beach. You have peace and quiet and there is no rubbish lying around. There are hardly any stones or shells. The water is crystal clear, blue and around 19 degrees Celsius. Here you can really linger and just chill out. We both had our feet in the water (somehow we didn't bring any swimwear with us 😅🙈) ... Strictly speaking, I was in the ocean with my legs and shorts because a wave got me pretty wet. Now we can say with confidence: We have been in the Pacific and braved the waves! 😁🌊🏝️
In the end we wanted to walk to the nearest bus stop and wait for the bus. Unfortunately we didn't find it and had to hurry up to get back - but successfully 👍🏻 😅.
Greetings from the pool after morning exercise 🥞🍳
